SHOWTIME
ANYTHING BUT “NORMAL”
In many respects, the year 2020 was anything but normal – this is also and especially true for the IT services of the Austrian social insurance. It was a year full of novel challenges in which the ITSV employees were able to prove that, against all odds, they are not only capable of keeping the “heart of digitization” alive, but also of constantly modernizing and improving it.
We were given the great pleasure of designing the corresponding annual report in a way that reflects this spirit of innovation. Thanks to augmented reality, we were able to stage the “heart of digitization” as the star of an experience that is as entertaining as it is informative, and which can be brought to life anywhere and at any time.
THE FUTURE IS NOW
NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOWBUSINESS
The AR Experience starts with a personal address by the managing directors, who are projected directly into the real environment in the form of video holograms. After that, the heart can be freely explored, with several hotspots to discover, including access to an extremely entertaining, animated presentation, complete with voiceovers, of the key points of an exciting year, as well as lots of other info and videos. Perhaps the best feature of the application is the completely “barrier-free” access we were able to provide to the audience:
ITSV employees received a QR code in the mail that sent them to the Experience website in no time. Since the application was based on Web AR technology, no app installations or additional downloads were necessary. All users had to do was tap the camera feed on the screen of their smartphone or tablet to materialize the heart of digitization at the desired location.
