EYES ON THE ROAD
DON’T VIDEO-CALL AND DRIVE!
The experience puts the audience in the shoes of a young woman who is waiting for her boyfriend Stefan to pick her up with his car. While she is just standing there, near a railway crossing, the phone in her hand starts ringing. Her boyfriend wants to video-call, so she picks up and starts the conversation. Little do our protagonists know that something horrible is about to happen in a few minutes.
DEATH BY CGI
VISUAL EFFECTS IN VR 360°VIDEOS
The VR 360° video aims to get a very simple message across: Don’t use your smartphone while driving and ALWAYS keep your eyes on the road, especially when you’re nearing a railway crossing. It does so in the most thrilling and haunting way possible.
By the way: No real cars, trains or human beings were hurt during production. While visual effects and compositing in a 3D 360° video can be quite challenging and time-consuming, we still managed to create a convincing crash scene with CGI.
