“Wiener Staatsoper VR – Beyond the Scenes”, filmed in stereoscopic 360 degrees, was created for the Wiener Staatsoper’s 150th anniversary. It is a decidedly modern, exhilarating, borderline surreal experience full of surprises, far removed from kitsch and clichés.

A VERTICAL VOYAGE
During the experience, dancer and choreographer Eno Peci performs at various locations inside the Staatsoper, all places that people rarely, if ever, get to experience – places like the famous “tea salon”, the roof of the opera house or the massive elevator that lifts Eno, along with his audience, out of the opera’s underbelly unto the stage. A performance by Valentina Nafornita and the innovative soundtrack composed by Siegfried Friedrich round out the experience, turning it into a unique piece of Virtual Reality art.
